Mercedes A Klasse engine issues

My 2015 Mercedes A Klasse with a diesel engine is showing some concerning issues The check engine light is on, the engine runs rough and sometimes stalls when idling, and it jerks a lot when I accelerate I think it might be a bad fuel pressure sensor I checked the cable and plug for damage Could a bad connection be the reason for these problems, maybe causing the engine to misfire and messing with the fuel system, or should I be looking at the fuel injector instead

I had similar problems like rough idle and engine stalling with my old Opel Astra It wasn't the fuel pressure sensor for me, but I think it was the MAF sensor Do you think that could cause the same issues I was wondering if you checked the MAF sensor too

Thanks for the tip I haven't checked the MAF sensor yet Can you explain how a bad MAF sensor could look similar to a bad fuel pressure sensor, especially with the engine misfiring and jerking when I accelerate

I'm not an expert, but when my MAF sensor failed, the car's computer was getting the wrong info about the air coming in That messed up the fuel mixture, which made the engine run badly My mechanic said it could even hurt the fuel system I think you should get your car checked by a professional

Got it I appreciate you sharing your experience It confirms that I need a professional diagnosis It turns out the problem was a bad fuel pressure sensor, or more accurately a bad plug connection The cable was corroded, causing the signal to drop sometimes The repair was 95€ Thanks for the help
