Experiencing an immobilizer fault with my 2023 Mercedes A Klasse hybrid. The car has 55251 km on the clock. The engine either doesn't start at all, or it starts briefly and then cuts out. There's an error code stored related to the anti-theft system. I suspect it might be related to incorrect key programming, potentially affecting the remote start feature. Has anyone dealt with this before? The dealer quoted 45€ for a fix.

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The engine would crank but wouldn't fire. Turned out to be a dodgy immobilizer. Have you tried the spare key? Yeah, the spare key was the first thing I tried too, no luck either. My Opel needed a complete immobilizer replacement. The anti-theft system was just fried.
