Summary of the thread

Fuel pump seems okay. How did you resolve your fuel rail issue? Was it the regulator itself?

Yes, it was the fuel pressure regulator. The car ran poorly until I replaced it. Given the error entry after the filter change, and your symptoms, I'd advise getting it checked professionally.

Thanks. It was indeed the fuel pressure regulator. Replaced it for 45€ and the problem is solved.

I had similar issues on my A Klasse: check engine light, rough idle. Did you inspect the fuel rail pressure after the filter change? Could be air in the fuel system. Also, when was the fuel pump last checked?
