Mercedes A Klasse transport mode issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes A Klasse is experiencing electrical malfunctions and engine start issues due to an active transport mode setting. The problem is suspected to be linked to a corrupted vehicle setting during transport, affecting systems like the navigation and immobilizer. A suggested solution is a hard reset by disconnecting the battery, but a more effective resolution involves a software fix at a workshop, which successfully resolves the issue.

When you experienced this issue, did it also affect the engine start functionality or any other critical systems? I am trying to ascertain if the symptoms align closely with what you encountered before proceeding with further steps.

Yeah, the engine start was occasionally a pain, like the immobilizer was playing up. Honestly, it was a bit random. Battery disconnect might work, but in my case, it only helped temporarily. Ended up taking it to the workshop, and they sorted it with a software fix. They said something about a corrupted vehicle setting during transport. Hope it helps!

I appreciate your guidance. Based on your experience, I took the vehicle to the workshop. As you suggested, a software fix rectified the issue. The transport mode was indeed the culprit, and the electrical malfunctions have been resolved. Thank you for sharing your insights.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my A Klasse. Have you tried a hard reset? Disconnecting the battery for a bit might clear the error. It's worth a shot before you get too deep into diagnostic check procedures. Did you notice any other weird electrical stuff happening?
