The brake pedal does feel somewhat spongy If worn brakes are indeed the culprit would that directly influence the brake fluid level Or should I suspect a more insidious problem within the brake system's hydraulic components

Spongy pedal with low fluid definitely points to worn pads As they wear the caliper pistons extend further using more fluid from the reservoir Get them checked promptly Probably nothing sinister but better safe than sorry A workshop visit is advisable

I shall heed your advice and schedule a comprehensive inspection of the car brakes This confirms my suspicions about worn components and their effect on hydraulic brakes It seems the projected repair cost of 480€ should cover it Thank you for your time and expertise

Low brake fluid and odd pedal feel Sounds familiar I had similar symptoms on my AMG GT Is the pedal soft or spongy Could be worn pads alright When was the last time you checked those
