Mercedes AMG GT engine power reduction

My 2016 Mercedes AMG GT gasoline engine is exhibiting reduced engine power. A diagnostic scan indicates a fault with the engine control unit at 148046 km. Could a defective main relay be the culprit? I've read about similar issues potentially stemming from automotive electronics. Any insight regarding a system reset or potential problems with the computer module influencing engine performance would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series. It turned out to be a faulty relay as well. Have you checked the voltage at the engine control unit? That could give you some insight. Have you tried checking all the fuses related to the engine control?

I haven't checked the voltage directly at the engine control unit yet, but that's a good suggestion. When you say 'related fuses,' are there any specific ones I should prioritize checking beyond the ones labeled 'engine control'?

On my BMW, there were a couple of fuses related to other systems like the fuel pump that indirectly affected the engine control unit's operation. Replacing the main relay fixed the problem. It's probably worth going to a workshop and letting them diagnose it

I had the main relay replaced. The diagnostic also indicated the relay was faulty. Repair cost was 120€. Seems to have resolved the reduced engine power. Error is gone. Thanks again.
