I have not checked the battery voltage. Do I need special equipment, or can I do it myself? The car has been driven regularly.

You can check the voltage with a multimeter, but if you aren't comfortable, take it to a workshop. Considering the error codes, a professional diagnosis is best. It sounds like a battery, but they can confirm and check for other causes.

Thank you for the advice. You were right, it was a defective battery and needed replacing. The repair cost 290€. I appreciate you sharing your experience.

I had a similar problem with my BMW. The engine stalling and warning lights sound familiar. It was a battery issue. Have you checked the battery's voltage lately? A heavily discharged battery can cause the start-stop system to fail. Has the car been sitting?
