Mercedes B Klasse Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Mercedes B Klasse experienced a complete audio system failure, with no sound output from the radio, auxiliary input, or USB audio. Initial concerns were about a defective bass speaker, but the issue also included no display on the screen and no Bluetooth connectivity. Suggestions included checking the speakers and considering fuse or head unit problems. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosed a defective bass speaker as the cause.

Complete radio silence. Nothing on the screen, and no Bluetooth either. How would I check the speakers? Is it a difficult job?

If nothing shows up on the screen, it is unlikely to be a speaker issue. It could be a fuse or a head unit problem. But since you mentioned the bass speaker, it is worth checking. Testing the speakers requires some disassembly and a multimeter. If you're not comfortable doing that, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to diagnose the problem.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop. They found a defective bass speaker. Repair cost was 280€.

I have a B Klasse too and had a similar problem. Check the car speakers first. Sometimes a blown speaker can kill the whole system. Does anything show up on the screen, or is it complete radio silence? Any audio connectivity through Bluetooth?
