Mercedes B Klasse Bumper Antenna Issue

I'm having a strange issue with my 2014 Mercedes B Klasse electric. It has 277883 km on the clock. I'm getting an error stored related to the bumper antenna. Unlocking and locking is unreliable, and the engine won't start without the key in the ignition. I suspect a cable or plug issue. Has anyone seen this before?

I had something similar happen with my B Klasse. The car radio reception was terrible, and the remote key was acting up. It might be a problem with the fm antenna connection. Check the antenna replacement cost. I'm no expert, but it sounds like the radio signal isn't being received correctly by the car.

Did you also get the engine start issue? And was it definitely the bumper antenna or something else?

Yes, the engine thing was the worst part. It turned out to be related. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was the automotive antenna connection. Best to get it checked. Could save you a bigger headache later on.

Thanks. Mechanic confirmed the bumper antenna connection was faulty. Repair cost 95€. All good now.
