Mercedes B Klasse damping adjustment fault
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Mercedes B Klasse is experiencing a damping adjustment fault, indicated by a warning light and a bumpy ride. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others who had similar issues, it was advised to check fuses and connections. The problem was resolved by replacing a corroded connector, which cleared the error and restored normal ride quality.

Stiff is a good way to describe it. How did you pinpoint the exact problem with your vehicle suspension? Any specific areas I should focus on when checking those cable connections?

Pinpointing it was a pain, not gonna lie. I initially thought suspension tuning was the issue. Given the error codes and symptoms, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. I replaced some parts and it still didn't fix it. They'll have the right tools to diagnose the damping control system properly. It cost me 95€.

Appreciate the advice. Took it to the workshop. Turned out to be a corroded connector, just like we suspected. Replaced it, cleared the error, and the ride is back to normal. Thanks again!

Bumpy ride, eh? Sounds familiar. I've got a B Klasse too, and had a similar suspension issue. Was the car suspension feeling stiff, even on smooth roads? Did you check all the relevant fuses first? That's always the easiest thing to check before diving deeper.
