Yes, diagnostics were performed, and an error code related to the cruise control system was identified. Did the throttle body issue you experienced also show up as an error in the memory?

Yes, there was an error stored in the memory, and it pointed towards the throttle body. Given that your diagnostics also revealed an error, it's worth investigating further. However, I would strongly recommend taking it to a workshop. They have the proper tools and expertise to diagnose and repair car electronics issues like this accurately.

Thanks for the input. I followed your advice and took it to a workshop. It turned out to be a faulty connection as initially suspected. The repair cost was 95€. Cruise control is now working again.

I had a somewhat comparable problem with my Mercedes, though it's not a B Klasse. The cruise control also went haywire, and it turned out to be related to the throttle body. Have you run diagnostics to check for specific error codes? It could be a faulty system component causing the issue.
