When you mention ECU trouble, do you recall any specific diagnostic trouble code, and was it related to a software glitch or solely a hardware issue like a faulty connection?

I don't recall the exact code, but it definitely pointed to the control unit. I messed with it for a while, but honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out quickly. Saved me a ton of headache and potentially messing things up further.

I appreciate your insight. I followed a similar path and had the connections inspected. Indeed, a faulty plug was identified and repaired. The communication error is resolved, and the system is functioning correctly now. The repair cost was 95€.

Whoa, sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my B Klasse. The ECU was throwing a fit and the CAN bus was going nuts. Check the data link connector, might be corroded or something. Is the engine fan running constantly?
