Mercedes B Klasse Hybrid Fog Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid. At 211422 km, I've got a fog sensor malfunction. There's a persistent error, the AC won't engage, the windshield washer nozzles freeze even when it's not that cold, and the mirror heating doesn't work. It might be a cable or plug issue. Could this be related to the humidity sensor? Would sensor calibration fix it, or does it need replacing? Has anyone else had similar windshield fogging issues and how did you fix them?

Sounds familiar. I had similar climate control problems on my B Klasse. Check the fog sensor. It might be the culprit. Is the sensor easily accessible?

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say check the fog sensor, what should I look for? Are there visual signs of damage or corrosion? Is there a testing procedure you'd recommend? I'm not sure where the sensor is or how to get to it.

I am no expert but if you can't find it easily, I would recommend getting it checked out at a workshop. They will know where it is and can tell you more about it.

I took your advice and went to a workshop. The cable connection to the fog sensor was defective, just like we thought. The repair was 95€. Thanks for helping me figure it out.
