Thanks for the info. I haven't checked the GPS module connection yet. Can you provide more detail on how to access it and what to look for regarding the connection? The windshield is original, so that's ruled out.

Accessing the GPS module requires removing some interior trim panels, which can be tricky if you're not familiar with car electronics. Given your symptoms and the fact the windshield is original, it's likely the antenna itself. The diagnostic error code confirms a fault. I'd suggest having a workshop diagnose it. In my case, the GPS module was tested, and the GPS antenna needed replacing. The repair cost was around 200€, including labor.

I also have a Mercedes B Klasse, and a similar issue arose some time ago. The GPS signal was intermittent, then disappeared entirely. Have you checked the connection to the GPS module itself? It's often located near the rear window, behind the trim. A loose connection there can cause these symptoms. Also, has the windshield been replaced recently? Aftermarket windshields sometimes interfere with the satellite connection.
