Mercedes B Klasse Hybrid Headlight Problem Solved

My 2023 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid is showing a headlight malfunction, with 137139 km. The error memory says there's a fault in the headlight range control, and a warning light is on. The low beam's vertical alignment is off. Could a defective servomotor be the problem, or should I check the control module and headlight switch?

A defective servomotor sounds right. But before you swap parts, did you get the specific fault code? That'll tell you more than just 'headlight range control fault'. Also, is the auto-leveling working? Any recent work on the front end or suspension?

The diagnostic check showed code C156700, meaning a problem in the left headlight servomotor circuit. I checked the auto-leveling and it seems fine. No recent front end or suspension work. With this new info, is the servomotor still the most likely cause, or should I look at the control module?

With that fault code for the left headlight servomotor circuit, and ruling out other things, changing the servomotor makes sense. But first, check the wiring and connector going to it. If the wiring's okay, then a new servomotor should fix it. If not, a shop visit may be needed to check the control module.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the wiring and connector and they're fine. I replaced the left headlight servomotor, and that fixed the problem and cleared the error code. It cost 1040€. Thanks for the help.
