Air filter is clean I checked that first You mentioned a similar issue Was it definitely the MAF sensor for you Anything else I should be looking at before I start throwing parts at it

In my case the diagnostic assessment confirmed the MAF sensor as the root cause Given the symptoms elevated fuel consumption unstable idling check engine indication and visible emissions it is highly probable that the MAF sensor is defective Considering the technical complexities involved I would recommend a visit to a qualified automotive workshop for comprehensive diagnostics

The symptoms you described are indicative of a potential issue with the mass air flow MAF sensor I experienced a similar predicament with my B Klasse The increased fuel consumption coupled with engine stalling and the illumination of the check engine light all point towards a malfunctioning MAF sensor Have you inspected the air filter recently A clogged filter can sometimes contribute to MAF sensor issues by disrupting the air intake
