Mercedes B Klasse Hybrid Transmission Issue

My 2020 Mercedes B Klasse hybrid is giving me grief. It's done 147000 km and the engine warning light keeps appearing, sometimes the transmission light too. The codes say it's a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor. The gearbox feels like it's in emergency mode, gear shifting is rough, sometimes it slips or makes a grinding noise. Could low gearbox oil be the reason? Has anyone had similar transmission problems?

That sounds bad. I had a similar thing happen with my B Klasse. Check your gearbox sensor first. Is it showing any overheating? These cars often have transmission issues if the oil gets too low. Get it checked soon.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say check the sensor, do you mean look at it for damage, or test it with a multimeter? It sometimes feels like it's overheating, but I wasn't sure. How did you resolve your transmission sensor?

I mean get it checked by a workshop. If it's showing codes and your gear shifting is bad, it's more than a visual check. I went to my mechanic, and he said it was a faulty transmission sensor, probably from low oil. It's a known issue.

Thanks for confirming what I thought. I took it to the workshop. It was the transmission sensor and low oil. It cost 365€. The gearbox is smooth now. Thanks for the help.
