Thank you for the quick response. I checked the fuses; they seem fine. The error message was rather generic, merely indicating a fault within the door handle electronics circuit. Could you elaborate on the specifics of your issue? Was it also related to a specific door handle, or did it affect all of them simultaneously?

In my case, it was the driver's side door handle. And yes, the error code was similarly vague. I ended up taking it to a workshop, as I didn't want to start dismantling the door mechanism myself. Given the potential complexity and the interconnectedness of the locking system, that might be the safest course of action for you too.

I appreciate the advice. I suspected as much. I'll schedule an appointment with my local mechanic. The diagnosis confirmed a defective connector. Repair cost including parts and labor was 95€. The keyless access is working again now.

I also drive a B Klasse and had very similar symptoms not long ago. It could be something simple, but these locking systems are so interconnected these days that pinpointing the exact cause without proper diagnostics is tricky. Have you checked all the fuses related to the door locking system? I'm not saying this is definitely the issue, but sometimes it's the most obvious thing you overlook. Did the error message give any more specific details besides 'door handle electronics'?
