Mercedes B Klasse mirror heating issue resolved

My Mercedes B Klasse, built in 2012 with a gasoline engine, has a mirror heating problem. It's not working. The error memory shows an electrical fault, and I suspect a bad cable or plug. The repair estimate is 95€, which is annoying for temperature control and winter driving.

I had a similar issue with my Opel Corsa's mirror heating. It turned out to be a corroded connector. Check those before assuming the heater element is faulty. Has the mirror been replaced recently?

Thanks for the tip. The mirror hasn't been replaced. Where exactly did you find the corroded connector on your Corsa? Is it hard to get to?

It was right behind the mirror glass. I gently pried the mirror off, and the connector was exposed. Not sure if the B Klasse is the same. If you are unsure, it might be best to get a workshop to take a look.

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed a corroded connector as you suspected. They cleaned it, and the mirror heating is now working. The cost was exactly as estimated.
