Thanks for the quick reply When you say 'sensor connections,' are we talking about the plug that connects to the oxygen sensor itself Is there a specific way I should be checking it I'm not really sure where to start

Yes, I mean the plug that connects directly to the oxygen sensor Check for any corrosion or loose wires If you're not comfortable doing that, it might be best to take it to a workshop They can properly diagnose the issue and replace the sensor if needed

Okay, I appreciate the advice Sounds like checking the connection is the first step, but I might need to get it looked at professionally I had a feeling it was going to be the sensor and the repair cost is about 95€ Thanks again

I had a similar issue with my B Klasse The oxygen sensor, sometimes called a lambda sensor, is part of the exhaust system and monitors how much oxygen is in the exhaust gases The heater element helps the sensor reach operating temperature quickly If the heater isn't working, the sensor doesn't function properly, which can affect vehicle emissions and fuel economy Have you checked the sensor connections
