Thanks I haven't checked for crystallization or leaks at the dosing unit Where is that located I'm not familiar with the AdBlue system layout And how much did your repair cost

The dosing unit is usually near the catalytic converter in the exhaust system You might see crystal formation from urea decomposition However, with your symptoms the inability to start the engine I'd be careful with DIY diagnostics An AdBlue system fault preventing starting often needs professional intervention to reset the engine control unit (ECU) Given the complexity and need for diagnostic tools, a workshop visit is best My repair cost about 250€

Appreciate the advice It sounds like it's best left to the pros I'll book it for a checkup and hopefully get it sorted Thanks again for sharing your experience and the estimated cost

I understand your frustration I've experienced a similar issue with my Mercedes C Klasse, though my symptoms weren't as severe The AdBlue system, or Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), controls diesel exhaust emissions If the tank is full but the system indicates otherwise, the issue might be in the AdBlue delivery Specifically, the pump or injector could be malfunctioning, or there could be a blockage Have you checked the dosing unit for crystallization or leaks
