I have not performed any formal battery testing. Where is the battery sensor located, and is vehicle diagnostics required to confirm the issue?

Alright, no battery testing yet. Finding that battery sensor can be a bit of a hunt, it varies by model, but it's usually attached to the negative terminal of the car battery. As for vehicle diagnostics, while you could try poking around with a multimeter, a proper scan will pinpoint the problem. Is it worth messing with or just taking it to a workshop?

I took my vehicle to a workshop based on the advice. They confirmed a defective battery sensor. The repair cost was 315€. The issue is now resolved.

Weak battery and flickering lights? Sounds like a potential electrical gremlin. Have you done any battery testing to check the battery voltage? What kind of readings are you getting? A bad battery sensor could definitely mess things up. Is the car struggling to start, or just a bit sluggish? Have you checked the connections to the battery sensor itself?
