Mercedes C Klasse climate control problems
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes C Klasse diesel is experiencing climate control issues, with the automatic temperature control malfunctioning and the air conditioning not activating. The error memory indicates a fault with the interior temperature sensor. A defective temperature sensor or a faulty cable or plug connection could be causing these problems. After diagnostics confirmed a faulty temperature sensor and a loose plug connection, replacing the sensor resolved the issues.

When you say similar, do you mean the exact same symptoms? And did the sensor diagnostics point to the sensor, or was it something else?

Yes, pretty much the same symptoms. I suspected the temperature sensor, but I couldn't be sure. I took it to a workshop, and it was the temperature sensor. I would get it checked.

Thanks, that's helpful. I had a sensor diagnostics run at a workshop, they confirmed the faulty temperature sensor. They replaced the sensor and fixed a loose plug connection. The total cost was 95€. Everything seems to be working now.

I had something similar in my C Klasse. The temperature reading was off, and the temperature control was erratic. The air conditioning was also acting strangely. It could be the sensor. Did you check the sensor diagnostics, specifically the wiring?
