I appreciate the suggestion regarding the wiring. What specific symptoms did you experience with your Volvo? Did the diagnostic scan pinpoint a crankshaft sensor issue, or were there other potential causes indicated?

Yeah, the Volvo was stuttering like mad, especially when accelerating. The scan tool mentioned the crank sensor but also hinted at cam sensor issues. I replaced the crank sensor myself, but it didn't completely fix the problem. In the end, I took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out. Might be worth getting yours checked professionally if you're not confident.

I appreciate you sharing your experiences. Given the potential complexities, I agree with your recommendation to seek professional assistance. I will schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop to diagnose and rectify the issue. The estimated repair cost is approximately 340€. Your contributions have been invaluable in guiding my decision.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Volvo, although it was a petrol engine. The crank sensor was playing up and throwing all sorts of misfire codes. Did you check the wiring to the crank sensor? Sometimes it's just a loose connection or corroded wire. Before you go replacing parts, give that a look!
