Mercedes C Klasse electronic steering problem

Experiencing an electronic steering issue on my 2023 Mercedes C Klasse hybrid with 244557 km The electronic steering column adjustment is non-functional I've scanned for errors and can no longer adjust the steering column electrically I suspect a cable or plug connection issue A preliminary estimate suggests a repair cost of around 95€ Has anyone encountered similar steering failure problems or electronic steering issues Any insights on checking for mechanical fault myself before I potentially take it in

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Mercedes C Klasse hybrid is experiencing a non-functional electronic steering column adjustment, suspected to be due to a cable or plug connection issue. The problem is accompanied by a generic error code indicating a steering column adjustment malfunction. Suggestions include checking the fuse box for potential simple fixes, but due to the lack of specific guidance and the risk of worsening the issue, taking the car to a workshop is advised.

I have a similar Mercedes C Klasse with a similar issue From what I recall, the steering column adjustment stopped working I also had an error code stored Did you happen to check the fuse box I'm no expert but it could be something simple like that What does the error code say exactly

Thanks for the suggestion Which fuse specifically should I be checking, and what does it control Also, the error code is rather generic, something along the lines of steering column adjustment malfunction It doesn't pinpoint a specific component, unfortunately Any guidance on where to find a diagram or listing of the fuses related to the steering

Honestly, I don't remember the exact fuse number or its designation I didn't want to mess with it too much myself Looking back, taking it to the shop was the best course of action It does sound like the same problem I had If you are not comfortable poking around, I suggest you take it in

Okay, I appreciate your input I think you're right; fiddling without proper knowledge could make things worse I'll take it to the workshop, especially considering the repair cost isn't too bad Thanks again for sharing your experience
