Mercedes C Klasse Hybrid Steering Wheel Issue

I had a similar problem with my BMW. No steering wheel controls, the whole thing was dead. It was a faulty control module in the steering column. Did the vehicle diagnostics specify which control module is throwing the error? Check the connections to the module before assuming it's the cable.

The vehicle diagnostics report just said 'Steering Wheel Multifunction Error' and mentioned a possible cable fault. How did you figure out it was the control module and not just a bad connection?

The error was vague for my BMW too. I checked the cable connections, but they seemed fine. The dealer pinpointed it to the control module. Unless you have the right tools and diagnostic software, it's tough to be sure. Given the error code, potential cable issue, and the fact it's all controls gone, I'd get it checked at a workshop.
