(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Mercedes Citan is experiencing issues with its air conditioning system, which only blows warm air. The problem might be linked to a signal error from the interior temperature sensor. A similar issue in a 2015 Mercedes Vito was resolved by replacing the faulty air conditioning control unit. It is suggested to have the fault memory read and consult a specialist workshop for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Hey, thanks for your informative answer. I will definitely bring up the issue with the air conditioning control unit at the next workshop visit. Can you remember how much it cost you to replace the air conditioning control unit? And have there been any other problems since then? Best regards!

Hey, sure, I can still remember that. The repair of the air conditioning control unit cost me €880. It really wasn't a cheap job, but afterwards everything worked perfectly again. Since I've been to the mechanic, the signal error in the interior temperature sensor has also been rectified and there have been no further problems. So, it was definitely worth it! Hope this helps you! Greetings back!

Hey, thanks for the detailed information and your willingness to help! 880 is certainly no bargain, but if it solves the problem and the heating/cooling works well again, it seems worth the money to me. I'll follow your advice and take the issue with the air conditioning control unit to the garage. Hopefully I can solve the problem soon. Thanks again and stay healthy! Best regards!

Hey, I had almost exactly the same problem with my 2015 Mercedes Vito. My car had a faulty climate control unit, so that might be it too. The symptoms were almost the same, just hot air and the heating/cooling didn't work well. It's not a trivial fault, but no reason to panic either. In my case, they had to change the whole air conditioning control unit. It makes sense to have it checked and repaired by a specialist workshop. But I would also have the fault memory read out first, just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps you. All the best!
