Mercedes Citan Audio System Problem

Thanks for the suggestions. Are there specific fuses I should check, or should I inspect the whole fuse box? Also, would disconnecting the battery affect the car's computer or other systems? I don't want to cause new problems.

Check the fuses for the audio system, amplifier, and infotainment unit. Your owner's manual should have a diagram. Disconnecting the battery shouldn't cause major problems, but you might lose radio presets. Check the manual first, I had to enter a security code after disconnecting the battery. If you're not comfortable, or if the fuse and battery reset don't work, take it to a workshop. A defective bass speaker was my problem.

I appreciate your assistance. I went to a technician, who confirmed the defective bass speaker. The repair cost 280€, thanks for the guidance.

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my Mercedes Citan, though it's not electric, the audio system looks the same. Have you checked the fuses? A blown fuse could knock out the whole system. Sometimes a software glitch can cause this. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset it? It's worth a try before digging deeper. Did you notice anything strange before it stopped working, like crackling or distortion?
