Mercedes Citan Fault Memory Lock Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes Citan displayed a 'Fault memory lock active' error, suspected to be related to undervoltage. The issue was likely triggered by a voltage drop during startup, despite the battery appearing fine and no starting problems. A professional diagnosis traced the problem to a minor issue in the power distribution module, which was resolved by resetting the computer and clearing the memory lock.

Battery seems fine, starts without a problem. Was it the same 'Fault memory lock active' message? Any idea on the repair cost?

Yes, same message and starting was fine for me too. I'd advise getting it checked by a professional. The auto repair shop traced it to a minor issue in the power distribution module. They reset the computer and cleared the memory lock. Better safe than sorry.

Took it to a workshop. They found undervoltage and reset the computer. Cost me 240€. Thanks!

I have a Citan and recall something similar. The active memory lock was likely triggered by a voltage drop during startup. The computer flagged it as a potential issue. Have you checked your battery or had starting issues?
