Mercedes CLA check engine light and rough running
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Mercedes CLA owner experienced issues with the check engine light, rough engine performance, reduced power, and stalling. The problem was suspected to be related to a mixture preparation error, possibly involving the mass airflow sensor or air-fuel ratio. Another person with a similar issue suggested that a faulty injector could be the cause, as it affects the air-fuel mixture. After professional diagnostics, it was confirmed that a defective injector was indeed the problem, and replacing it resolved the issues.

An injector, huh That sounds expensive How did you figure out it was the injector and not, say, the mass airflow sensor or something else messing with the air-fuel ratio And what exactly does checking the intake manifold involve

The workshop ran some diagnostics and pinpointed it They said the injector wasn't spraying fuel correctly, causing a rich mixture at times Best to get it checked professionally, could save you a lot of guesswork and money in the long run It cost me around 500€, but it solved all the issues

Okay, I understand Thanks a lot for the advice I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a defective injector The repair cost 515.0€, but now it runs like new Really appreciate your help

Sounds frustrating I had a similar issue with my CLA Check engine light kept popping up, and the car felt sluggish For me it was a faulty injector Think of it like a clogged artery; fuel can't flow properly, messing with the air-fuel ratio Has anyone checked the intake manifold for leaks
