Thank you for your swift reply I appreciate your insights When you say 'thoroughly checked,' what exactly do you mean I visually inspected the accessible connections, but I did not disassemble anything Could you elaborate on the specific areas I should focus on when examining the fm antenna and its associated wiring Furthermore, was your issue also accompanied by a stored error code

Understood By 'thoroughly checked,' I meant tracing the entire cable run, paying close attention to any points where the cable may be stressed, bent, or exposed to the elements The bumper antenna wiring can be susceptible Also, while a visual inspection is a good start, sometimes corrosion or minor damage can be hidden within the connector itself Given that you have a stored error code and that you are experiencing these significant symptoms, I would suggest a professional diagnosis It could be a simple fix, but ignoring it might lead to further complications with the car radio or other electronic systems

I greatly appreciate your detailed explanation and advice The suggestion to have a professional diagnosis was spot on It turned out to be a corroded connector on the fm antenna, just as you suspected The repair was indeed straightforward and cost exactly 95€, as initially estimated Everything is working perfectly now Thank you again for your assistance

While I don't own the hybrid, I had a similar issue with my CLA, relating to what I suspect is the same fm antenna system The symptoms you describe sound eerily familiar It turned out to be an issue with the car antenna connection Did you check the connections thoroughly Specifically, the one related to the car radio and the bumper A loose connection can indeed wreak havoc on the entire system Are you also experiencing any weird signal interference issues with other electronic devices in the car
