Mercedes CLA Hybrid Oil Level Sensor Issue

My 2020 Mercedes CLA hybrid is acting up I am getting an error message, a warning light, and the oil pressure lamp is flashing all related to the oil level sensor The error memory also confirms a faulty sensor signal I checked the engine oil level, and it seems fine Has anyone else dealt with this I read it could be a bad cable or plug connection If it’s just a faulty sensor, it’s estimated at 95€, but I’m worried about further issues Any thoughts

Sounds familiar I had a similar sensor issue with my older Audi A4 Different brand, but the symptoms were almost identical: error message, warning light In my case, it actually WAS a faulty sensor Before you panic, have you checked the sensor's connector Give it a wiggle and see if the light goes off Also, do you know if the wiring has ever been damaged

Thanks for the reply I haven't checked the connector myself yet I'm not super confident poking around with the electrics Where exactly is the oil level sensor usually located I don’t want to mess anything up

I understand your hesitation On my Audi, the sensor was located at the bottom of the oil pan I am not sure for Mercedes CLA If you're not comfortable fiddling with it, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop Better safe than sorry, especially with a hybrid They can diagnose it properly and replace the faulty sensor if needed It does sound like your issue matches the likely cause of a defective cable or plug connection

Thanks again for the advice I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was just a faulty sensor and a corroded connector They cleaned everything up, replaced the sensor, and the error is gone The repair cost was almost exactly what was estimated Crisis averted
