Mercedes CLA Hybrid Running Rich

My 2022 Mercedes CLA hybrid is running way too rich. It has 188352 km on the clock. The check engine light is on, the engine's running rough, fuel consumption is through the roof, and it's jerking like crazy when I accelerate. I suspect it's the fuel injectors. Has anyone else experienced this?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my CLA, including the check engine light, rough running, and terrible fuel economy. Have you checked your air-fuel ratio? A rich mixture is a telltale sign. It could also be a faulty sensor messing with the fuel injectors.

How did you pinpoint the issue? Was it definitely the injectors? And what did it cost you?

Yes, it eventually turned out to be a dodgy injector. I tried a few things myself but ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it quickly. I suggest you just go to a workshop, they can diagnose and fix it.

Thanks for the information. I took it to the workshop as you suggested. They confirmed a faulty injector. The repair cost me 515€. At least it's sorted now.
