Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'physical obstructions,' what exactly should I be looking for? Is it just dirt and grime, or are there specific components I should be paying close attention to on the radar sensor itself? Also, did you attempt any kind of cleaning or basic troubleshooting before resorting to more complex procedures?

You're welcome. By 'physical obstructions,' I am referring primarily to accumulations of dirt, grime, or debris that may impede the radar sensor's ability to function correctly. Examine the sensor's surface for any visible contaminants. In my case, the issue stemmed from accumulated road grime obstructing the sensor. It's advisable to proceed to a workshop. I recommend having a professional conduct a thorough cleaning of the sensor and assess its functionality using diagnostic equipment. This will determine whether a simple cleaning resolves the issue or if further intervention, such as recalibration or replacement, is necessary.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the radar sensor was just really dirty. They cleaned it, cleared the error codes, and everything seems to be working fine now. Total cost was 45€, which is a lot better than I was expecting. Appreciate the help!

I understand you are experiencing difficulties with your vehicle's radar sensor. I have encountered similar sensor malfunction with my CLA. The symptoms you describe, including the error message, system failures, and warning light, are indicative of a potential issue with the radar sensor's functionality. Before considering a full radar calibration, it would be prudent to examine the sensor itself for any physical obstructions or damage. Automotive sensors are susceptible to environmental factors; therefore, a careful inspection is warranted.
