Mercedes CLA system errors and warning lights

My 2015 Mercedes CLA with a gasoline engine is having issues. It has about 96796 km. I'm getting random error messages about driving mode, and sometimes warning lights come on. Also, the audio and navigation systems are failing. Sometimes the control units shut down or freeze. An OBD-II scan shows an error. Could a bad cable connection to the control unit's BUS system be the cause?

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar problem with my Mercedes before. Warning signal, system failure – the whole thing. Was your warning light on all the time, or did it flicker? Did the service required indicator show up too? I wonder if it's a BUS system issue.

Thanks for the reply. The warning light is random, sometimes on, sometimes flickering. And yes, the 'Service required' message has appeared now and then. Can you tell me more about what happened with yours and how it was fixed?

Okay, random lights and service warnings sound very familiar. The shop found a bad connection. They changed a cable, and the problem went away. With your error codes and what's happening, it sounds like a similar cable problem on the BUS system. I'd suggest having it checked at a shop.

I appreciate the advice. Based on what you experienced, I'll take it to a shop to have the cable connections checked carefully. The invoice was 155€. Thanks again!
