Interesting. I don't see any obvious hood latch issues. Was your error message the same, specifically mentioning the active hood fault?

Yeah, it was the exact same message. I'd bet it's the same system fault. Honestly, just take it to a workshop. They'll sort out the sensor and reset everything.

Thanks, I appreciate the confirmation. It seems the acceleration sensor was indeed the culprit. All sorted now, cost me 315€ as estimated.

I had something similar on my CLK. Drove me nuts! Is the hood latch acting up at all? Could also be the impact sensor throwing things off. I was worried about the pedestrian safety stuff too!
