Mercedes CLK Alarm System Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Mercedes CLK is experiencing an alarm system issue, specifically a siren communication fault, potentially due to a bad cable or plug connection. The problem persists despite checking the fuses, which were found to be in good condition. It is suggested to visit a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair, as electrical issues can be complex and require professional attention.

Thanks. I checked the fuses, and they're fine. No other warning lights either. Are there specific spots where the cable or plug connection might corrode or get damaged that I should look at?

If the fuses are good and no other warnings are present, a faulty connection is likely. Without diagnostic tools, it's hard to say where. I'd suggest a workshop visit, given potential electrical issues. They can diagnose and fix it properly. Messing with the alarm system can cause problems.

I appreciate the guidance. I've booked an appointment to address the siren communication fault. I'll mention the cable or plug connection issue. Thanks again.

That sounds frustrating. I've seen similar alarm controller problems on other Mercedes. Before you spend any money, did you check the alarm system fuses? It could be a simple fix. Are there any other warning lights on?
