Mercedes CLK Blower Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2006 Mercedes CLK had a non-functional fresh air blower, confirmed by an error code indicating a dead blower motor. The issue was suspected to be a defective blower motor, with a potential cost of 365€ for repair. After consulting with others and visiting a workshop, the blower motor was replaced, resolving the problem and restoring proper air flow.

The air flow is completely dead. Nothing at all! Where is the fan speed controller located exactly? And yes, the error code is from the climate control diagnostic.

Okay, completely dead points to the blower motor itself being the problem, or possibly a fuse. The fan speed controller regulates the voltage to the blower motor, so if the motor is truly dead, the controller isn't the primary suspect. Given the error code, it seems like you're on the right track. I'd recommend a workshop visit.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the blower motor. Replaced it, and everything's working fine again. Cost me 365€, as expected. At least I have proper air flow now!

I had a similar issue with my CLK. Is the air circulation completely dead, or is it just weak? Sometimes the fan speed controller goes bad. It's responsible for regulating the air flow. Have you checked that first? When you say error memory, do you mean a climate control diagnostic code?
