Mercedes CLK Diesel Engine Issues

My Mercedes CLK from is acting up It's a diesel engine The check engine light is on, it's jerking when I accelerate, and there's a whistling noise There's also a loud hissing sound when accelerating Sometimes the engine stalls at idle Fuel consumption is high, and power is down I suspect a bad boost pressure sensor Could a defective cable or plug connection to the turbocharger boost sensor be the cause I'm thinking it's something with the turbo system or air intake

Whistling you say Sounds familiar I had a similar headache with my CLK Check that boost sensor near the turbocharger Don't go tearing the whole turbo system apart just yet Is the hissing constant or only under load

The hissing is definitely worse under load, especially when the turbo is supposed to be kicking in So, you think it's definitely the boost sensor, even with all the stalling and jerking Did yours stall too

Stalling Yeah, mine did that occasionally, especially when cold It's worth checking the sensor and its connections before digging deeper Could be a simple fix, but honestly, with those symptoms, I'd get it checked at a workshop Might save you a lot of time and frustration

Thanks for the advice It was the boost pressure sensor cable, just like I suspected Replaced it for 95€ and the car runs like new again No more whistling, jerking, or stalling The hissing is gone, too I appreciate the help
