Mercedes CLK Massage Chair Malfunction

My 2002 Mercedes CLK with a gasoline engine has a malfunctioning massage chair The massage function is not working, and the car's computer shows an error I think it might be a bad cable or plug connection Has anyone else seen this issue? I'm guessing the repair will be around 95€ Is anyone familiar with this massage seat switch problem, especially the seat motor?

Summary of the thread

The massage chair in a 2002 Mercedes CLK is malfunctioning, with the car's computer displaying a general error related to the massage seat control circuit. The issue might be due to a bad cable or plug connection. A similar problem in another vehicle was caused by a broken wire in the seat's wiring harness. It is suggested to have the issue diagnosed and repaired by a professional shop equipped with the right tools to avoid further complications.

I remember something similar with the lumbar support in my old BMW 5 series It acted the same way: the adjustment stopped working, and the diagnostics showed an error For me, it was a broken wire in the seat's wiring harness Does the error message say which part is affected, or is it just a general code?

Thanks The error message is pretty general, saying there's a problem in the massage seat control circuit Can you tell me more about how you found the broken wire in your BMW? Did you see it, or did you use special tools?

I couldn't see it I used a multimeter to check each wire in the harness, like finding a leak in pipes But, with that error code and how complicated the massage seat is in your Mercedes, you should probably go to a good shop They have the right tools to find the problem and keep you from messing things up

Thanks for the advice I'm going to make an appointment with a good shop to get it checked out It turned out to be a bad connector in the seat's wiring, and the repair was about what I thought it would be Thanks for your help
