Mercedes CLK oil level sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Mercedes CLK owner experienced an error message and warning lights related to the oil level, indicating a faulty oil level sensor signal. The issue could stem from a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to check and clean the sensor connections on the oil pan, which might resolve the problem. Ultimately, the owner took the car to a workshop, where a faulty sensor was confirmed and replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'sensor connections,' are you talking about the one right on the oil pan or somewhere else? I'm not super familiar with car maintenance, so any extra details would be awesome.

Yes, the one on the oil pan. If cleaning doesn't fix it, you likely have a faulty sensor. Best to get it checked at a workshop.

Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be exactly what you said – a faulty sensor. They replaced it, and the error is gone. Much appreciated!

I had a similar oil signal problem on my CLK. Check the sensor connections first, clean them, and see if that resolves it.
