Mercedes CLK radar sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Mercedes CLK with a diesel engine displayed a radar sensor error on the speedometer, causing system failures and a warning light. The issue was likely due to a dirty sensor, a common cause of such malfunctions. Cleaning the sensor, located behind the front bumper, resolved the error without needing professional intervention.

Where exactly is the radar sensor located? And how difficult is it to clean? Is radar calibration necessary afterwards?

It's usually behind the front bumper. Cleaning isn't too hard, but be gentle. If the error persists, it might need professional attention at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out the sensor was indeed dirty. Cleaned it, and the error disappeared. Cost me 45€ for the cleaning supplies. I appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my CLK. Check if the sensor is dirty. It's a common cause for sensor malfunction and driving assistance failures.
