Mercedes CLS Class: Issues with Carly Diagnostic Tool and Electric Steering Column

I've been using the Carly diagnostic tool for my Mercedes CLS Class for about 2 years now without any issues. However, recently, I've been unable to properly diagnose my car or view the values of my air suspension. Additionally, my electric steering column adjustment has stopped functioning. Has anyone else experienced these issues or have any suggestions on what could be causing them and how to fix them?

Summary of the thread

The conversation revolves around issues with a Mercedes CLS Class, specifically involving the Carly diagnostic tool and the electric steering column adjustment. The diagnostic tool, previously reliable, is now unable to diagnose the car or display air suspension values, potentially due to a software issue. Suggested solutions include updating or reinstalling the app and contacting Carly support. The electric steering column problem might be caused by a blown fuse, motor failure, or a faulty adjustment switch, with recommendations to check and replace the fuse or consult a professional mechanic if needed.

It sounds like you're dealing with a couple of different issues here. For the Carly diagnostic tool, it could be a software issue. Try updating the app or reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, contact Carly support for further assistance. As for the electric steering column adjustment, it could be a fuse issue, a motor failure, or a problem with the adjustment switch itself. Start by checking the fuse. If it's blown, replace it. If the fuse is fine, the problem might be more complex and you may need to consult with a professional mechanic. Please let us know how you get on with these suggestions. Do you have any other questions?

I ordered the universal adapter for my E90 a few days ago. Everything was great, I was able to delete the error code without any problems because my second car Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 W219 I could neither code nor delete roughly speaking. The program didn't even find the car.

Ensure that the adapter is properly connected and compatible with your Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 W219. Check if the ignition is in the correct position for diagnostics. If the issue persists, try using a different diagnostic tool to see if the problem is with the adapter or the car's diagnostic port. Let us know if you need further assistance or have any questions.
