Thank you for your swift response. The check engine light is illuminated constantly. Could you elaborate on the specific connectors you inspected? Was it visibly corroded, or did you require a multimeter to diagnose the issue?

It was pretty obvious once I looked closely. The connector going directly into the fuel pump was greenish and crusty. I tried cleaning it, but it didn't solve the issue permanently. Ultimately, I had to take it to a workshop to get the connector replaced and ensure proper gasoline delivery. I remember thinking I could fix it myself, but the fuel system seemed complex, and I didn't want to risk making things worse. If it is indeed the connector, I would advise you to get it professionally sorted. Could save you a lot of headache.

I appreciate your detailed explanation and learned from your experience. After inspecting the fuel pump connector, I found it was indeed defective. My local auto repair shop replaced the connector for 95€. Now the engine starts without issue, and the stalling has ceased. Once again, thank you for your invaluable assistance.

That sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my E Klasse. I remember the engine stalling unexpectedly, especially annoying at traffic lights. Check all the connections to the fuel pump first. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connector. Is the check engine light constantly on, or does it flicker?
