Mercedes E Klasse Sunroof Problem After Coding

The coding wasn't supposed to involve the sunroof directly. It was meant to adjust some settings for the interior lights and the central locking system. Could that still somehow affect the sunroof calibration and the entire sunroof system?

It's possible. Modern cars are so interconnected, even seemingly unrelated systems can interfere with each other. That sunroof troubleshooting sounds like a headache. Honestly, with the convertible top involved, I'd take it to a workshop. They have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem and recalibrate everything.

I took it to a workshop as suggested, and they confirmed it was a coding issue messing with the sunroof system. They recalibrated everything, and now the sunroof operation is back to normal. The total cost was 75€, which isn't too bad. Thank you so much for your help!

Coding issues messing with the sunroof system? That's a new one to me, but these things can be interconnected. Did the coding directly involve the sunroof operation or vehicle sunroof at all, or was it for something else entirely? What exactly were you coding?
