Mercedes E-Klasse Transmission and Gearbox Control Unit Issue
Hello everyone, I own a 2016 Mercedes E-Klasse with a gasoline engine and 178,000 km on the clock. Recently, I've been experiencing issues with the automatic transmission not shifting as usual. Additionally, the Carlyscanner app has indicated a malfunction in the communication with the gearbox control unit. I'm not sure what this means or how to address it. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can provide some guidance on what steps I should take next? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Start by checking the transmission fluid level and condition, as low or dirty fluid can cause shifting issues. If the fluid is fine, inspect the wiring and connectors to the gearbox control unit for any signs of damage or corrosion. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
