Mercedes EQC Audio Failure MOST Bus Fault

My 2019 Mercedes EQC electric has gone completely silent. No audio, no navigation, nada! The error memory reports a MOST bus fault. Has anyone dealt with this electronic issue before? I’m worried about the repair cost, probably around 1000€.

MOST bus fault? Sounds nasty. Is that like a problem with the car's fiber optics network? Have you checked any of the fuses? Sometimes it's something simple.

Fiber optics, bus network, car electronics, all sounds the same to me. Fuses? I haven't even located the fuse box yet. Is it easy to spot a blown fuse? What should I be looking for?

The MOST bus uses fiber optics. Fuses are worth a check, but a MOST bus fault points to a deeper issue with one of the control units. Considering it's affecting multiple systems, it's probably best to get it properly diagnosed at a workshop. Could save you money avoiding messing up with the car diagnostics.

I appreciate the input! I'll book it in. The amplifier was indeed faulty, like the workshop suspected, and after swapping the unit everything works fine again and I'm 1000€ poorer!
