Mercedes EQC GPS antenna issue

My 2020 Mercedes EQC electric is throwing a GPS antenna error. The navigation system reports no GPS reception, and the error is persistently stored. Root cause analysis points to a defective GPS antenna. Has anyone encountered something similar? I'm bracing for a 200€ antenna repair. Is this a common failure point on these cars?

I encountered a similar issue with my BMW. The car GPS completely failed, showing 'no satellite connection'. Initially, I suspected the GPS module itself. The symptoms you describe mirror my experience.

Interesting. When your car GPS failed, did you also have a stored error code? Did replacing the GPS antenna resolve the 'no satellite connection' message?

Yes, there was an error code stored. And replacing the GPS antenna did rectify the problem. If your Mercedes is showing similar symptoms and the antenna is the likely cause reported from the diagnosis, then I would advise consulting a workshop, like I did.

Understood. Thanks for the insight. It seems the antenna repair is the path forward. Will advise on the outcome once resolved. Antenna ordered, and workshop visit booked.
