Mercedes EQV air conditioning problem
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Mercedes EQV is experiencing an air conditioning problem where the system fails to engage despite checks on the fuses and blower motor. A potential cause could be faulty valves controlling refrigerant flow, which may require replacing the entire AC unit for a reliable fix. It is recommended to consult a qualified Mercedes-Benz workshop for accurate diagnosis and repair.

I didn't notice any pressure changes or hissing before the AC stopped working. Can you explain more about the valve problem you mentioned Can the valves be repaired, or does the whole unit need to be replaced

In my case, the valves were the problem. They're usually part of the AC unit, so it's hard to repair them separately. A technician might try to fix it, but replacing the whole unit is often more reliable and cheaper in the long run. Because electric vehicle AC systems are complex, I'd suggest going to a qualified Mercedes-Benz workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Thank you for the helpful information. I'll take it to a workshop. I'll post the diagnosis and solution later, in case it helps others. The estimated repair cost is about 1000€ Thank you again.

I understand your concern. I had a similar issue with my EQV. The problem could be with the valves that control refrigerant flow. This can stop the system from working, even without a refrigerant leak. Did you notice any unusual pressure changes or hissing sounds before it failed completely?
