Mercedes EQV central locking and starting problems

Central locking and starting issues on my 2021 Mercedes EQV Electric The central locking is acting up, and I can only start the car with the key in the ignition. It's showing an error code related to the bumper antenna. Has anyone experienced similar problems with the car antenna or antenna mount?

That sounds frustrating I had a similar keyless entry and start issue with my old petrol BMW. It turned out to be a corroded connection to the antenna amplifier. Have you checked the cable connections for corrosion or damage?

On my old car, it was hidden in the rear bumper, near the antenna mount. It was a fiddly job to get to, and I ended up taking it to a workshop. Unless you're confident with electrics, I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally. You don't want to mess with the car's computer

Thanks for sharing your experience I went to a workshop, and it was a faulty connection to the bumper antenna. The antenna repair involved replacing a corroded plug. The total antenna replacement cost including labor was 95€. Now everything's back to normal
